FIRST PROJECT
Garage Cleaner
A first-person sorting game about making sense of the mess—one useful thing at a time.
Follow development ↘Independent games, visibly made
Powered By Pixels is my attempt to finally make the games I have always wanted to make.
MAKE IT / SHOW IT / SHARE IT
01 / ABOUT
I'm a games-industry veteran of more than 20 years, a parent, and someone who has always wanted to make games of my own. This is my attempt. I'm using the tools I can access to build small, tactile worlds—and to share the process honestly.
02 / GAMES
Made with care. Still in the garage.

Follow development ↘03 / AI PLEDGE
TRANSPARENCY, NOT PERFECTION.
I make games with generative AI tools because they enable me to make them in the first place. I recognise that those tools may be trained on the art and creative work of people who were not asked for consent or paid. I pledge to transparently share part of these games' proceeds with artists through established foundations—not as a solution to the questions around generative AI, but as a practical commitment to give back.
PUBLIC LEDGER
Live data begins when Garage Cleaner launches.
Updates distinguish estimates from storefront-settled figures. Corrections remain visible.
HOW A CONTRIBUTION MOVES
Sales and refunds appear as provisional activity.
Monthly reports confirm Net Receipts after adjustments.
The pledged share becomes a public payable amount.
Receipt and independent confirmation are added to the ledger.
The next calculation period appears before the previous payout is completed.
04 / THE HARD QUESTIONS
We want this page to make a disagreement clearer, not make it disappear.
This game would not exist in its present form without these tools. That explains our decision; it does not exempt us from the trade-offs involved. We use them under human direction to make a small game possible, then remain accountable for what we release.
No. Generative tools may be trained on copyrighted work without artists’ consent or payment. A contribution cannot repair that history or guarantee a fair future. It is a concrete, public step toward sharing value with working artists—not a claim of moral clearance.
We do not use cloned voices or likenesses, and we do not ask tools to imitate living artists’ styles. We will describe player-facing generative content accurately wherever a platform requires it and on this page.
Net Receipts means money reported by the storefront after taxes, platform and payment fees, refunds, chargebacks, and similar storefront adjustments. Salaries, marketing, contractor costs, equipment, and AI-tool costs are not deducted from this pledge calculation.
When we can fund specific commissioned work, we will. This project’s original constraint was that a conventional team was not financially possible. We do not treat that constraint as evidence that artists are optional—or as a reason to avoid sharing success when it arrives.
We understand and respect that choice. Some people conclude that the consent, livelihood, or environmental concerns are unacceptable in every case. Transparency is not a request to ignore those concerns; it is the minimum we owe people making an informed decision.
